Darrel was born and raised in Orofino, Idaho where his employment consisted of farming, ranching, logging, fighting wildland fire, building trail, and working in a family sawmill while attending Washington State University where he received a B.S. in Animal Science. This work experience also included working on the historic log drive on the North Fork of the Clearwater River.
Darrel has a wealth of real estate experience spanning more than 50 years dating back to 1968 when he began helping older members of the family manage and divest some of their extensive real estate holdings in Idaho. Beginning in the 1980’s, Darrel assembled a team of real estate brokers, consultants, and land managers to facilitate private and public land exchanges in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. Much of this work involved facilitating large, multi-party transactions to realign land ownership patterns between private landowners (farm, ranch, and timber industry) and public land management agencies (federal, state, and tribal) to provide for more effective and efficient ownership that better met individual management objectives.
Darrel joined forces with Kevin Boling in 2015 specializing in the purchasing, selling, and exchanging farm, ranch, and timberland properties. Darrel’s 50 years of combined experience, passion, creative problem-solving, and landowner contacts in the real estate profession are a tremendous benefit to customers or clients interested in buying or selling investment properties.
